About Excel to PDF

Sharing a spreadsheet as a PDF ensures recipients see exactly what you intend — with consistent column widths, frozen headers, and no risk of accidental edits. The Excel to PDF converter transforms your .xls or .xlsx file into a professional PDF document in seconds.

The conversion engine renders each worksheet using the same print-page settings defined in Excel (page breaks, print area, landscape or portrait orientation, header and footer text). Charts are rendered as vector elements where possible, preserving sharp lines and labels at all zoom levels. Cell borders, background fills, merged cells, and conditional formatting are all faithfully reproduced.

Useful conversion scenarios:

  • Sending a financial report or budget to stakeholders in a tamper-proof format
  • Submitting expense reports or timesheets to clients
  • Sharing a product pricing sheet without revealing formulas
  • Creating a print-ready version of a project schedule or Gantt chart

If your spreadsheet contains multiple worksheets, each sheet is converted to its own set of PDF pages in the correct order. Hidden sheets are not included in the output by default.

If you need the reverse — extracting data back from a PDF table into an editable spreadsheet — use our PDF to Excel tool. For reducing the size of the resulting PDF before emailing large spreadsheet exports, try Compress PDF.

Security: Your Excel file is transmitted over HTTPS and removed from our servers within one hour. Formulas, cell values, and business data are processed only by our automated conversion service and are never accessed by staff. The tool is free with no account required.
